Geneseo Communications employees were moved by the overwhelming generosity shown during their 12th annual community Toy Drive, Tuesday December 7th. Braving cold temperatures, employees took shifts collecting toys in front of Geneseo Communications, Inc from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The community rose to the challenge and in addition to several truckloads of toys the committee also presented the Geneseo Food Pantry with cash donations over $4,500. Their efforts, in support of the Geneseo Food Pantry, will not only put toys under the tree for area families in need, but also provide food, clothing and other assistance.

“Our employees look forward to this event every year,” said CEO, Mike McClain. “We are all witnesses to the true meaning of the season through the expressions of giving from folks who drive up and drop off toys and cash in support of this effort,” he said.

“Due to Covid we were unable to host the drive in 2020 and were worried that would impact our 2021 Toy Drive efforts,” said Ellen Moore, toy drive coordinator. “Our concerns were unfounded as the community responded in a big way. I speak for all our employees when I say, this event reminds us at Geneseo Communications how very blessed we are to be a part of such a giving community. We are truly witness to the spirit-of-the-season through the amazing generosity of others.”

Geneseo Communications would like to thank our wonderful employees, all of those who drove by to donate gifts and cash and our business partners for coming together with us to make this a season of joy for others!
