Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce the award of $5,000 to Cole Memorial Trust to be applied towards the purchase of land adjacent and to the south of the current Cole Memorial Cabin site.
Ownership of this additional property would benefit Cole Memorial Trust in two significant ways. The Trust does not own the parking lot or the entrance and exit lane that is adjacent to their existing property. Ownership of this parcel will provide assurance for continued future access to and from the Cole Cabin for its patrons and youth groups. It would also allow them to make improvements to the parcel including widening of the lane and building a garage which would be used as storage for the Cole Memorial Cabin Trust as well as for the local Geneseo Girl Scout and Boy Scout Troops.
The Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation (GCCF) was established in 2002 by Geneseo Communications, Inc. to enhance, develop and benefit the Geneseo Community and surrounding areas.
GCCF grant applications can be found at here and can be submitted at any time throughout the year. Applications are reviewed quarterly and all 501(c)3 organizations are encouraged to apply.
