Geneseo Food Pantry receives funds from Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation in support of building fund project!
As part of its commitment to give back to the community, Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation recently announced that it will donate $100,000 to the Geneseo Food Pantry building fund titled, Fighting Hunger…Building Hope. The Foundation will award these funds in 20k installment payments over the next 5 years.
The Christian mission of the Geneseo Food Pantry is to provide food, clothing and short-term emergency assistance for families and individuals in need that reside within the Geneseo and surrounding area. The Pantry has outgrown their current facility and is seeking to expand at their new location of 550 Dilenbeck Dr., Geneseo.
“Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation board, as well as the employees and officers of Geneseo Communications continue to provide untiring support to the Geneseo Food Pantry,” said Jolynn Kitterman, Director for the Geneseo Food Pantry. “Through their annual community toy drive and continued financial gifts we’re able to fulfill our mission to support and improve the quality of life for local families in need. This recent gift to our building project is a huge step toward our goal. We are so appreciative for the support of Geneseo Communications in partnering with us in our vision to make a difference in the lives of others.”
The Geneseo Communication Charitable Foundation was established in 2002 by Geneseo Communications, Inc. to enhance, develop and benefit the Geneseo Community.
Geneseo Communication Charitable Foundation grant applications can be found at here and can be submitted at any time throughout the year. Applications are reviewed quarterly and all 501(c) 3 organizations that reside within Geneseo Communications servicing area are encouraged to apply.
