ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

· Run and record monthly depreciation reports for multiple companies.
· Maintain fixed asset records
· Reconcile monthly investment statements and record entry
· Accounts payable entry
· Payroll backup
· Purchasing backup. Assist in sourcing & procuring goods/services required by different departments. Review purchase requisitions and obtain necessary approvals. Maintain accurate records of purchases, including pricing, delivery dates, and vendor information. Assist in managing inventory levels and conducting periodic inventory counts and reconciliations. Researching products to determine the best price for quality and delivery. Negotiating terms, conditions, and pricing with vendors. Performing data entry to create purchase orders and maintain records for accounting. Convert purchase orders to accounts payable (A/P) entry by accurately recording invoices, ensuring proper coding, and obtaining necessary approvals.
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
· Post cash receipts and reconcile bank deposits.
· Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
· Provide administrative support to the purchasing and accounting departments, including filing, data entry, and document management.
· Assist in preparing reports and presentations related to purchasing activities and financial transactions.
· Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
