A Fiber connected Community is a REALLY BIG DEAL!
This is a big deal for the residents of Spring Valley, we want to make certain you are in the know.

We design…Before we began, we created a design for our network which the city of Spring Valley approved. They gave us the ok to do the work, including allowing us access to the public easement. |

We install conduit…Once we have permission, we have contractors install the plastic tubes – conduit- that will hold the fiber-optic cable. This is the bright orange tubing you see on giant spools. We put this conduit in the ground to protect the fiber from damage. |

We connect homes and businesses to the network…We start connecting individual homes to the network. To save homeowners on future connection costs we connect all locations regardless of their immediate service plans. We make the connections by doing what we call “fiber drops”. A fiber drop means we run a fiber cable housed in protective conduit, to your premises. If you do not wish to receive a “fiber drop” to your location, you have the option to opt out. Read on for more information and complete the Fiber Drop Refusal Form below. |

Once registered, you get services installed…When the network is ready in your neighborhood, if registered we will contact you to discuss and finalize services options and arrange an installation time. And you start enjoying the fastest internet speeds around! |
Still have questions, feel free to ask. Our contractors are happy to answer questions-they’d rather explain what’s happening than have you upset. And of course, you can always call 309.944.2103 or 1.800.852.3611 to speak with someone about the fiber build out happening in Spring Valley.
FiberMeFast powered by Geneseo Communications is providing a fiber-drop to all locations within your area. This means that we will be putting fiber drops to all homes and businesses unless you tell us NOT to. This saves everyone time and money! Drops are FREE and add value to your home. According to recent studies by the Fiber Broadband Association, a fiber optic internet service can increase a home’s value by up to 4.9%. That’s added value of more than $14k on a $300k home. Even if you don’t want services right now, adding fiber access adds value. If, you opt out, then decide later that you, or any future homeowner would like a drop, there could be up to a $1,500 charge for our construction.
Additionally, getting a drop in place now will save time if you decide to get FiberMeFast high-speed fiber services later. With a drop in place, we will simply need to collect information and schedule an installation. Without a drop in place, our technicians will have to bury fiber to your premises before an installation can be scheduled, which could take several months.
