Geneseo, IL. June 16th, 2025 – Aisle of Flags receives funds from Geneseo Communications, Inc. Employees in honor of those who have served our Country!
Although the weather prevented us from gathering at the park, Geneseo Communications held its fourteenth annual ice cream social – turned bake sale – in support of the Aisle of Flags on Tuesday June 3rd. We still had a successful event in support of the Geneseo Aisle of Flags thanks to the outpouring of our great community! Thank you to all who stopped by Geneseo Communications and purchased goodies or donated! Special thanks to Springfield Armory who purchased several pies and treated their employees! As part of its commitment to give back to the community, Geneseo Communications employees will donate over $2,900 to the Aisle of Flags furthering their mission to honor veterans’ past and present.
“The Geneseo Aisle of Flags was started over 40 years ago as a community salute to the men and women of Geneseo who served our country,” said Sarah Alexandar, Aisle of Flags Committee President. “Much of the success of the Aisle of Flags is in part due to the untiring dedication and patriotic spirit of our community,” she said. “We are extremely thankful for the generous support of Geneseo Communications employees and the community, the funds raised will allow us to continue this tribute to the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave!”
“With the threat of severe weather, we were thrilled with the support from the community as we quickly turned the event from an Ice Cream Social to a bake sale. We are very pleased with the amount we were able to raise for the Aisle of Flags committee.
