Geneseo, IL. March 4th 2016 –Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation awards $12,000 to Atkinson Fire Protection District for the purchase of Lifepak System(s) needed for paramedic level services
As part of its commitment to enrich the lives of the people we serve, Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation recently announced that it will donate $12,000 to Atkinson Fire Protection District for the purchase of lifesaving paramedic equipment.
“We are tremendously appreciative to the Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation, said Noreen White, PHRN and Ambulance Director for the Atkinson Fire Protection District. We have been working tirelessly to retrieve the funds necessary to purchase much needed lifesaving equipment for our department. With these funds we are able to purchase a new Lifepak system which puts us one step closer to becoming a Paramedic Level Department. Saving lives requires the fast actions of a great paramedic team armed with advanced emergency equipment; with the help of Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation we now have both!”
The Geneseo Communication Charitable Foundation was established in 2002 by Geneseo Communications, Inc. to enhance, develop and benefit the Geneseo Community.
Geneseo Communication Charitable Foundation grant applications can be found here and can be submitted at any time throughout the year. Applications are reviewed quarterly and all 501(c) 3 organizations that reside within Geneseo Communications servicing area are encouraged to apply.
